Beth Mason endorses Dawn Zimmer for Hoboken Mayor
Filed under: Beth Mason Hoboken, Hoboken Election News
The June 9th runoff election for the office of mayor produced a little bit of Beth Mason news today. Beth Mason has announced that she is supporting Dawn Zimmer in the runoff election.
Some pundits/bloggers/residents/voters/bigmouths claim this will push Zimmer past Cammarano.
Some pundits/bloggers/residents/voters/bigmouths claim the association with Mason-Russo-Hoboken411 is a poisonous gift that should seal the deal for Peter Cammarano.
Just out of curiosity……….
Do intelligent people vote for someone simply because they are endorsed by a local attorney?
My neighbors are not happy about Church Towers Pilot.
The good news for all these candidates is that only a small fraction of the voters in Hoboken actually think their vote matters.
Many of us are convinced that Hoboken government is a joke. A sad, sad joke with punchlines like “Pilot Programs”, “Indictments”, “Convictions”, “Corruption”, and “no show nirvana” for locals who feel this town is their personal trough to sidle up to and gorge themselves upon.
The whole situation is shitty. I mean, pupie.
How Beth Mason Lost 20+ Votes
Filed under: Beth Mason Hoboken, Hoboken Election News
It would be a shame if Beth Mason was not behind the ignorance and negativity perpetrated by Hoboken411. Because she sure paid for it in some courts of public opinion.
Mason lost my vote, and the vote of many local musicians/friends/fans because of a Hoboken411 “story” discussed HERE.
The wholly assumptive and mean-spirited piece of crap story singles out an individual for hurtful remarks about their character and integrity. Not because they are running for election, but because they dont agree with Halley Wolowiec and Perez Klaussen about Peter Cammarano not having the right to breathe. The poor guy she harassed even manages to sound good natured in the article written by Wolowiec.
When I read this hollow attack on someone I know to be a good person, it was time to seek some justice for my friend. So now we support Cammarano. In part, to spite Halley and Perez. A number of my friends joined me once I forwarded them Halleys’ angry rant against a complete stranger as it was published on 411.
I have spoken to Beth Mason. I like her and respect her record on behalf of Hoboken.
But, Hoboken411 was so overtly poisonous that she should have taken action to distance herself from the bat-shit crazy talk. By not doing so, the mean spirited and inconsequential content appeared to have been sanctioned by the Mason Campaign.
That is of course unless the Mason Campaign actually thinks 411 is legitimate.
In which case they reaped what was sown.
I wonder how much that cost Mason in dollars….
Wonder what that cost Mason in votes………20+ that I know of
To a reasonable person this is poetic irony and disappointing at the same time.
But, let’s face it, Mason never needed permission from anyone to follow her conscience in the past. Something tells me she does not need the electorate to give her the power to follow her heart and pursue a better Hoboken.
So now Peter Cammarano finds himself with a new group of supporters thanks to Hoboken411, who clearly despises him.
I’m chuckling about that as I lay down to sleep tonight. Why? Because I think Perez Klaussen is failing miserably to fulfill his potential to affect positive change. I voted against that as much as anything. And I won.
Touche’, Halley Wolowiec, touche’.

Supporters of Beth Masons’ mayoral campaign are disappointed and angry post election.
Our photog was threatened with “getting his ass kicked” and there are reports that the Mason supporter(s) shoved a resident who stopped by after the results were clear.
